For those who refuse to compromise on the details.
We started Coffer Studio because the design industry had stopped being interesting.
Everything was starting to look the same. The same rounded corners. The same muted palettes. The same safe forms that prioritised trend-following over genuine thinking. Studios were producing work that looked impressive in a portfolio and disappeared into the noise the moment it hit a shelf.
The other problem was deeper. Beautiful work was being built on a foundation of manufacturing ignorance — concepts that couldn’t survive tooling, surfaces that looked extraordinary in KeyShot and failed at the factory gate. Clients were paying premium rates for work that required expensive re-engineering before a single unit could ship.
Coffer Studio was built as the answer to both. Work that has a genuine point of view. Work that survives contact with production. Work that your customer recognises as different the moment they see it — and doesn’t disappoint them when they hold it.
Projects seen through to production We don’t hand off and disappear
End-to-end projects completed
Brief to shelf, no handoffs
Based in Australia.
Coffer Studio operates remotely from Australia, working with brands, founders, and product teams across the globe. The model is deliberate — it keeps us lean, focused, and free to bring in exactly the right collaborators for each project rather than whoever is available in the building.
Working across time zones and categories has sharpened our thinking in ways a single-market studio rarely achieves. We’ve developed products for the precision demands of consumer electronics and the craft sensibility of houseware. We’ve designed apparel collections held to the same manufacturing rigour as injection-moulded components. That breadth isn’t incidental — it’s what keeps the work from looking like everyone else’s.
Senior hands on every project. No exceptions.
Coffer Studio keeps the team tight by design. The person who presents your concept is the same person who reviews your production samples — there’s no handoff to a junior team once the brief is signed and the invoice is sent.
Where a project calls for specialist input — structural engineering, textile development, regional supply chain expertise — we bring in proven collaborators with track records, not generalists filling a gap. You get precisely the expertise your product needs. Nothing billed that isn’t earned.
What we believe
The principles behind every project.
These aren’t values written for a website. They’re the positions that shape every decision we make — what we take on, how we work, and what we consider finished.
Rushed discovery produces expensive iteration. We invest time at the start to understand your market, your constraints, and what success actually means for your business — so every decision downstream is grounded, not guessed.
Tell us about your product idea. We’ll help you figure out what it needs, what it costs, and how to get there, without the guesswork.
